DRIVING GENDER INCLUSIVITY IN CONSTRUCTION TRADES
Through Buildher, women gain certified construction trades training, access real employment, and drive change in an industry that has long excluded them.
Our model transforms technical education into workforce systems linking training, enterprise, and placement to reshape the construction labor market.
VISION
We envision a future in which skilled tradeswomen have equitable access to skilled jobs, competitive pay, professional growth, and business opportunities in the construction sector.
MISSION
We provide low-income women with access to sustainable jobs and enterprises in the construction finishing trades, allowing them to achieve economic mobility and develop careers in the construction finishes industry.
MODEL
We train women in accredited construction finishing trades
and support their transition into paid work by strengthening technical skill,
professionalism, behaviour change, and personal stability. This includes
structured mindset development, workplace readiness, and social system
alignment so women can enter and remain in demanding work environments. Our
focus is reliable entry into construction, sustained employment, and clear
pathways for progression.
By combining accredited training, certification, real-world
site exposure, and direct employer engagement, Buildher operates a functioning
workforce pathway for women historically excluded from skilled construction
roles. We use data, standards, and industry collaboration to reduce hiring
bias, improve supervision and safety, and make women’s participation normal,
visible, and economically viable.
Our mission is achieved when women trained by Buildher
consistently earn, progress, and contribute to a more productive and inclusive
construction sector.
